Who we are

The Cliff Birkdale is run by Birkdale Wine & Dine Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 14470848, of 51 Weld Road, Birkdale, Southport PR8 2DS. We also run Coast Birkdale downstairs. If you have any questions about your data, email enquiries@thecliffbirkdale.co.uk or call 01704 331 333.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone number, email address, the details of your event (date, time of day, guest numbers, food and extras), how you heard about us and anything you write in your message. If you tick the box, we also record that you are happy to hear about events at The Cliff.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, send you a quote, and plan and run your booking. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to carry out that contract. If you asked to hear about events, we will email you occasionally, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your details. We use a small number of trusted services to run the website: Cloudflare hosts the site, and an email delivery service sends your enquiry to us and a copy to you. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to that conversation. We only share your details with suppliers for your event, such as a decorator or DJ, if you ask us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and booking records for up to 3 years so we can help with repeat bookings and meet our accounting duties, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them. Email enquiries@thecliffbirkdale.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The event planner saves your choices in your own browser so they are still there if you move between pages. This stays on your device and you can clear it at any time.
